No workers’ liberation without women’s liberation!

Even in the “most democratic country”, women remain the most oppressed and exploited sex. Their rights and interests are still secondary than that of men, the laws are still written in favour of men.

They still earn lower than their male counterpart. Women, even in the “most democratic country” are still subjected to feudal-patriarchal ideology and system: dominated by the political authority, familial authority, religious authority and masculine authority- when they get married. These four authorities formed a four-walled cell that imprisons the women impeding their liberation. The female half of the world’s population experience double oppression for they are not only being oppressed in the work floor, the women continues to be household slaves.

Genuine liberation of the working class and oppressed people comes with the liberation of women. To truly liberate the women we must first and foremost abolish all laws that do not give them equality with men, laws on marriage and family for instance. We must put an end to all unequal practice between men and women such as unequal wages between men and women. Secondly and most importantly we must liberate our women from the feudal-patriarchal system, a system that maintains the household bondage of women due to morally degraded and monotonous routine work in the family household and the kitchen. The latter proves to be hard to break for the aforementioned four domination experienced by women proved to be sacredly maintained by the system of monopoly capitalism. We must engage and encourage women to join the workforce in order to break the dependence on men and household slavery, we must create a society where men and women can equally exercise their talents and capacities without oppressing the opposite sex. Due to the back to back work of the capitalist and feudal-patriarchal system, our society gave birth to the objectification of women.

This International Working Women’s Day, Anakbayan-Europe supports the working women of the world in their struggle against the yoke of oppression caused by capitalism and feudalism. We support the women of all nations to have the same labour wage as men, to have the same rights as men. We support the women of the world to unite against the capital system that causes not only unemployment and cheap labour but also women dependence on men. Anakbayan-Europe supports their struggle against war and oppression particularly in war-torn countries that causes a lot of women and children to flee and join the war against imperialism. We recognize that war is a culture of inequality and patriarchy. So long that there is war, the women will never be truly liberated.

To liberate the entire working class from oppression and exploitation we have to engage the women to take part in the struggle against the monopoly capitalists the system that is causing war and poverty. Affirm the women commitment in fighting against imperialism as the highest form of capitalism. We need to empower all the women to join the workforce and end the feudal-patriarchal ideology and system to improve the political and economic status of women. We recognize that the emancipation of women is not only emancipation from men, we recognize that the struggle of women is not just about gender inequality or identity politics, it is a struggle of all the working class against the monopoly capitalist, the struggle of women is a class struggle, hence we encourage the women of all nations to fight against monopoly capitalists and feudal landlords for only the abolition of private property on land and industries will end the oppression of women as it would end the oppression of all working people.

Lastly, we encourage the youth to join the struggle of the women, to further empower the women of our society to fight against poverty, unemployment, and war. The participation of the younger generation in women’s emancipation is vital, for without the youth the revolution will end. Without the youth to continue our revolution, the women will never be liberated.

Long Live the Working Women of the World!

Women! Rise Up! Take a stand and fight!

Women! Resist imperialism!
